Thank You

I would like to say thank you to everyone who helped me this year in my presidency. My officers were an exceptional group and wonderful to work with and I thank them. I appreciate everyone’s input this year. Thank you to the schools who hosted us. That is a hard job to do to get everything ready and I appreciate your opening your schools to us. If you get the opportunity to work as an officer, I highly recommend it. I have served as treasurer, vice-president and president and each office brought a different challenge, but I have gotten to know so many of you better.  May the rest of your year be successful and stress-free……I know, but I still can dream.

MERRY DECEMBER

Happy Holidays! I know that most of you are ready for a little break in our daily routines. I wanted to recommend a book over the holidays. This year MASL has decided to have a one-read for those attending state conference. The book is Playing with Matches by Brian Katcher. I plan on reading it over the break. Hopefully if you read it, then when you are standing in line or waiting for a workshop at the convention, you would have something to talk about with your neighbor.

The Show-Me Nominees, Twain, Truman and Gateway lists should be coming out on the MASL website this week. When it is published, I will update our website.

I still need people to volunteer to lead a workshop at our seminar in Feb. I will be publishing a list again of workshop topics and please let me know if you want to lead the meeting. I will be publishing the agenda and registration forms on our website in January.

Have a wonderful, safe holiday season.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I still need one more person to be on the nominating committee. Dea Borneman and Jamie Calloway are the two members I have now, need one more. Just email me if you would be willing to serve on this committee which does all its work by email back and forth.

I wish you a happy Thanksgiving. May you be blessed and come back rested, ready for the Christmas rush!

WELCOME TO SWRASL.ORG

Welcome to our new finished web site for SWRASL. Hopefully you will find it user friendly. I will publish articles or needs here under the News and Noteworthy Site so please check back at least once a week. If we have to cancel our February meeting because of bad weather, I will post it here. Right now we are scheduled for Feb. 27th at Logan-Rogersville Primary School. We are looking for workshop presenters and I sent out a list of topics earlier by email. Please don't hesitate to email me if you have a workshop that you would like to present or could present with a group. If I get any requests from MASL I will post them here. Have a good week. Email me if you have questions about SWRASL or our web site.

Volunteers Needed

Maggie Newbold, president of MASL, has sent out the following request:

Would you please send me a name of someone from your region willing to serve on a committee with me whose task is to discuss Reading Award Incentive materials pricing for members vs. non-members.

Please and Thank You!
